Leave Marrakech in a private air-conditioned vehicle and cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka. Visit Aït Ben Haddou, continue through Ouarzazate and follow the Valley of Roses toward the sculpted landscapes of Dades.
Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Explore the canyon road and continue to Todra Gorge for an easy walk beneath its tall limestone walls. Reach Merzouga in the afternoon, change to camels and travel across the dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara.
Merzouga → Rissani → Draa Valley
After sunrise and breakfast, leave the dunes for Rissani and the open plateaus of southern Morocco. Continue through Alnif and the long palm oasis of the Draa Valley, arriving at a peaceful kasbah stay near Agdz.
Draa Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
Travel north through the date palms and fortified villages of the Draa. Pause in Ouarzazate, then cross the Atlas Mountains and arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
